IROKO Theatre Company awarded grant of £19,833.
IROKO has been awarded £19,833 by The Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund, funded by Sport Relief, to start our Forgotten Folks project!
“I am delighted that another £1 million is being distributed to great charities that will transform the lives of more people.” - David Cameron
We are very excited about this project as we will be able to offer therapeutic clay modelling workshops, gentle movement and music-making workshops to those over 50 living in Newham.
This will be a great project that we hope will go some way to enriching the lives of many elderly people living in Newham. Whether they need to improve their fitness or just want to try something new and make friends. We hope that everyone who participates in this will feel the benefits of the activities and also have a great time.
We will soon be updating our events page with dates and venues for all activities relating to ‘The Forgotten Folks’ Project, so make sure you check back to see what’s happening!
